It’s back! The Annual Local, Small Business, All-Handmade
Green Sunday Craft Fair, just in time for your holiday shopping!
Green Sunday is part of our vision of a community that celebrates local talent creating handmade goods, and that supports businesses that keep money circulating in the local community. It’s both a response and an alternative to the commercialism of Black Friday & Cyber Monday.
Join us for a frenzy-free, family-friendly shopping experience! We’ll have over 40 fantastic vendors who have made a variety of cool items that you’ll fall in love with. There’s something for everyone on your holiday list–ceramics, knitted and felted caps and gloves, woven scarves and purses, wood sculptures, hand-made cards and sculptures made out of books, jewelry, candles, soaps, and so much more! Check out some examples at the bottom of this post.
But there’s more! You can buy chances for raffle baskets with sample items from each vendor. There will be scrumptious food and refreshing beverages for sale as well. And a craft table where your kids can make their own crafts while you shop. Your holiday shopping can’t be more fun than this! Invite all your friends and make a day of it.
TTGM’s 13th Annual Green Sunday Holiday Craft Fair
Sunday, November 17th, 2024, 1–5PM
Media Providence Friends School Gym
4th St, between Olive and Orange St, Media PA 19063
Admission is free! The entrance is on 4th St, behind the school, and there is free parking in the lot adjacent to the gym at 4th & Olive. You can also park free on the surrounding streets (please don’t park on the blocks marked Residential Parking only).
We thank the Media Providence Friends School (MPFS) and Media Friends Meeting (MFM) for donating the use of their gym every year for this Holiday Fair. MPFS offers K-12 education based on Quaker values, teaching students about their responsibility as citizens of the world and stewards of the earth.
MFM is also a leader for environmental responsibility in the community. They first installed solar panels on the meetinghouse more than 10 years ago and has expanded them three times since then. They also have three medicinal raised bed gardens that are harvested, with the help of MPFS Middle Schoolers, for Singularity Botanicals, who provides tinctures and teas to alleviate the health impacts of industrial pollution in affected communities.
Are you a local artist or craftsperson? We’d love to showcase you at our event! Please submit your application as soon as possible: tinyurl.com/GSapp24.
