Planet Local Film Screening

April 17, 2025 by Sari Leave a Comment

Wednesday, May 7, 7PM
Franciscan Spiritual Center. 609 S Convent Rd, Aston 19014

Join us for a screening and discussion of Planet Local: A Quiet Revolution, a film by Local Futures, makers of the Economics of Happiness.. The film explores the transformative localization revolution that is emerging worldwide. As people work to protect and restore their local economies, their communities, and the natural world, they are creating countless diverse initiatives, showing a new path forward for humanity. You can learn about some of our own localization efforts in the Greater Media area as well.

The evening will start with a short excerpt from Fridays at the Farm, a video about local Red Hill Farm and CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). The Farm is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Red Hill’s farmer will be on hand to tell us more about the farm and how we can help support it.

We ask that you RSVP for the event here. The event is free with free parking adjacent to the building. Donations are always appreciated. For more information, visit our Facebook page or contact us at [email protected].

Red Hill Farm and the Franciscan Spiritual Center are owned by the Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia.
