A Call to Action: 2025 Annual Planning

December 14, 2024 by Skip Shuda Leave a Comment

It is time to put your desire to see a better world into action! If you hunger for changes in how and what we do to make our world more connected, more integrated with nature and more just, then you should consider joining us on Saturday, Jan. 11 from 8AM to 2PM to help formulate our path of action right here in Delaware County.

Historically, our annual planning has focused on brainstorming new ideas, new working groups and new events to meet the changing world around us. In fact, last year resulted in 18 working groups!

Not all 18 groups made it through the year, but rather than focus on generating more new groups, we plan to emphasize how we can reach more people, create new, more resilient community infrastructure and deconstruct our extractive economy thinking. The bulk of the day will focus on six panels covering Biodiversity/Trees, Resilience and Climate Change, Community Building, Local Food/Zero Waste, Local Economy, and Inner Transformation. We will also have time for exploring new projects and ideas.

We hope you’ll consider joining us for this year’s TTGM Annual Planning. You’ll meet some amazing people, find numerous opportunities for connecting with working groups, and maybe even find a sense of purpose by making your community that much more resilient. You’ll also learn about the work we did in 2024 and more about Regeneration and the Transition Town movement.

Join us on Jan. 11 to begin the adventure! Come between 8–9AM, enjoy a light breakfast and coffee, and be ready to get to work at 9AM. We’ll break for lunch around 12:30PM. Space is limited so please RSVP. We especially need to know if you’d like to have sandwiches and salad with us for lunch. A suggested donation of $20 will help us offset costs, but it is not required and no one will be turned away for financial reasons.
Thank you!
