EcoFest

October 3, 2024 by

EcoFest

EcoFest is an annual festival that brings together 25–30 local environmental and community organizations to showcase all the important work that’s being done in our towns. At the EcoFest, you can learn how to be more energy efficient, how to reduce less waste and recycle more effectively, how to replace plastic products with greener alternatives. You can also learn how to repel mosquitoes cheaply and easily, what trees and shrubs work best in your yard and how they protect your local birds and bees, and so much more.

But that’s not all—you can have a great time too! There’s always music, drum circles, good food, and lots of fun activities for young and old alike. You could watch bees at work in their hive, create a snake out of brightly painted rocks, make a little beehouse out of a toilet paper roll—there’s something for everyone. You can even ride your bike to EcoFest—our Transit/Biking Group is on hand to provide a free bike valet service.

Admission is free and free parking is available nearby as well. Be sure to be on the lookout for next year’s EcoFest sometime in September! Sign up for our newsletter and blog posts to hear about this and other events throughout the year.
