Inner Transformation

Mission Statement

Evolving to a Higher State of Consciousness
The purpose of the Inner Transformation group is not solely attaining the lofty goal of higher states of consciousness, it provides us real world benefits of becoming more emotionally resilient during tough times.  This work also helps us to make decisions in the absence of substantial data or authority to guide us.

What is Inner Transformation?

We cannot expect the government, corporations, society or religion to always be there when we need them.  Aligning with Transition Town practice and philosophy of self sufficiency, we are learning to make the best decisions possible in crisis when too little or too much information is coming at us.  To do so, we make use of many different paths, including communing with Nature, Shamanism, Quakerism, Buddhism, Native American wisdom, quantum physics, meditation, strengthening intuition and receiving direct messages from Spirit.  All paths lead to the same place and all are valuable.

Please join us for lively discussions and information sessions the 3rd Thursday of each month. Come when you can; no commitment needed.

When you join this group, you will be placed on our mailing list for announcements and reading material.

We meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month, 7-8 PM via Zoom.

Coming Together to Address Climate Crisis

It’s no longer climate change, it’s climate crisis.  Our home is on fire.  Each one of us needs to take action now. →

“My Name Is _______, and I Am a Racist.”

This is my all-time favorite protest sign. Treat racism

the disease. "Assume you have the disease and don’t spread it." To do so, you have to change your behavior. You may be thinking:
“But I’M not a racist.”
Here’s the good/bad news. In this country, racism is something you’re born →
Living in Transformative Times

Living in Transformative Times

Here we are in the midst of what Transition Town Media has been preparing for since 2009, although not for the reasons we anticipated.  We were preparing for climate change, resource depletion and economic instability.  Instead, we were blindsided by a global pandemic, racial justice protests that included excessive force from law inforcement on peaceful demonstrators, and a dysfunctional federal government—all occurring →

Impact Highlights

In October 2024, we held a powerful workshop, called Dancing Between Stories, based on Joanna Macy’s work: The Work That Reconnects. Held on two Sundays, we explored what we are grateful for, what we grieve, then begin to see with new eyes, and finally going forth to take on the work we’re inspired to do.

We have read and discussed several powerful books, including Joanna Macy’s Active Hope, Charles Eisenstein’s The More Beautiful World Our Hearts Know Is Possible, and Wayne Dyer’s Keys to Higher Awareness.

Our group also held monthly “Being Meetings” to balance our “doing-centered” Steering Group Meetings. These focused on our members’ inner health and well-being. We sponsored some public events as well, such as a Gratitude Celebration program.
