A TTGM Partnership With the Media EAC
The Media Borough Council agreed with the recommendation from the Media EAC to apply. TTGM and the EAC worked on the application which was accepted by the Xerces Society. Media Borough was officially designated an official member of Bee City USA in June 2022. This blog post by Marion describes the Bee City designation and why it’s important. Part of the agreement with the Xerces Society in becoming a Bee City was to plant a pollinator garden in town. We worked with the EAC and the Media Public Works Department to design and plant a beautiful pollinator garden on Borough grounds near the corner of 4th & Monroe St in October 2022.
Today, the pollinator garden looks like this. We hope to create more gardens for our pollinators in the months and years to come.
