Protecting Biodiversity

Protecting Biodiversity

Protecting Biodiversity Initiaitive

Mission Statement

We promote, encourage and support planting natives to increase biodiversity and restore habitat to protect our ecosystems. Ecosystems depend on a rich biodiversity to function. And biodiversity is dependent on native plants that feed insects.

Join us to make a significant contribution to help prevent bird and insect decline, habitat loss, and global ecosystem collapse. Gardeners of all levels of experience are welcome. Anyone can contribute, even if you live in an apartment. Contact us at [email protected] to learn more or just talk natives!

  • Information on natural mosquito control
  • How to report pesticide drift from spraying in the neighborhood

Our extensive Resource Library contains everything you need to know about starting and maintaining a native plant garden, what to buy, and where to buy native plants. It also contains links to books, videos, webinars, Doug Tallamy’s Homegrown National Park, and our meeting minutes. To access our library, click here.
