The alerts include ground level ozone, particulate matter (2.5 micrometers and 10 micrometers), carbon monoxide, nitrogen dioxide, sulfur dioxide, and wildfire smoke. All these pollutants are harmful to our health, but I will focus on ozone in this blog.

According to the UN’s Climate and Clean Air Coalition, “Reducing human-caused methane emissions is one of the most cost-effective strategies to rapidly reduce the rate of warming and contribute significantly to global efforts to limit temperature rise to 1.5°C. “
