Transition Town Media now has three Facebook groups that we use to connect members and interested community members around specific initiatives. If you use Facebook and would like to check out any of the groups, please make a request to join. We’d love to have you! The groups are:
The TTM Share, Swap, Sell, Buy, and Meet group. This group is used to facilitate community and collaborative consumption in Media, PA and the surrounding communities. Feel free to post something you want to give away or acquire. You can offer used items for sale here and may post an announcement of your yard or garage sale. Feel free to post about a community event or an initiative you are advancing. If it’s a benefit to your community or it keeps things out of a landfill, this is the place! The group is NOT for commercial advertising.
The TimeBank Media Group. This group is an extra forum to encourage interactions and exchanges between TimeBank Media (TBM) members and other community members interested in supporting each other by providing services. You don’t need to be a TBM member to join, but most people posting here will be offering and/or expecting TimeDollars for their services. We suggest that you include a link to your request or offer on the TimeBank Media system when you post here.
The Philly/Media Reconomy Personal Finance Group. This group was created as an outcome from TTM’s August brainstorming session on local and alternative economics. The group is a support group to discuss using self-directed IRAs to invest retirement funds in greening southeastern PA. We’d love to have you share your thoughts, plans and wishes for investing in a way that supports your values and your community.
