TimeBanking 2.0

August 16, 2016 by Sari Leave a Comment

TimeBank_Logo_Trans (2)Hey, TimeBankers! Donna Cusano, your TimeBank Coordinator, here.

When was the last time you updated your profile on the TimeBank Community Weaver website? Been awhile, huh? Just like our computers need a reboot now and then, your TimeBank profile might need a do-over or a tune up.

Take five minutes and go to media.timebanks.org and log in. Now click on your name at the top right. Scroll down and click “My Profile.” Here you can check the status of all of your messages, exchanges, and your contact info. Update your calendar availability, and check your offers and requests to see if they are current with what you’d like to offer or what you need right now. If not, update them—and be creative! Offer services that bring you joy when you perform them. Do you like to teach? Offer classes in your favorite activity, like knitting, painting or canning. It’s a great way to meet others who share your interests!

Haven’t submitted a request in a while? We ALL need help at some point, and TimeBanking is a great way to allow someone with skilz to help you AND you can meet your neighbors in the process! Ask for help with that home project that has you stuck. It’s a win for everyone!

Scroll through the current offers. You may find people who are giving Real Estate Info, Intro Sewing Lessons, or Business Startup Brainstorming, Marketing, Strategy, and Planning advice.

Scroll through the current requests, such as: Looking for help at a sustainable urban farm in Media; Need help with ironing; Need help learning Excel. Anything you can lend a hand with?

Finally, if you haven’t done so yet — and half of you have not (I know who you are!) — please upload a current picture of yourself so we know what you look like. We want to see your bright, shiny face! If you have any questions, feel free to contact The TimeBank Coordinator Team by clicking the envelope icon at the top right of your profile page.

Oh, and if you’re not a TimeBanker yet, check it out! Wouldn’t you like free help from experts in exchange for an hour of your time for someone else, doing something you enjoy? Contact me!

Happy Timebanking!!
