Ready for our SECOND monthly potluck? We were very pleased by the positive response to the first one, Hope in Action. Our guests, Ellen Morfei, Eve Miari, and Kristin Seale, lit the room on fire and generated quite a deep and lively discussion!
We expect our second monthly Potluck Gathering, Think Global, Act Local, Be Happy, on Monday, March 19, 6-9pm to be just as stirring. Join us in our new venue on Lemon St between State and Baker St in Media, PA 19063 (look for the TTM signs), a community space where neighbors of all affiliations can come together and engage in open, honest, positive communication about a variety of themes.
Come share your thoughts about what you’ve found gives you real happiness, on the eve of International Day of Happiness (March 20th). TTM member, Rev. Dr. Joni Carley, will discuss her work at the United Nations as vice chair of the UN Coalition for Global Citizenship and member of the UN Committee on Spirituality, Values, and Global Concerns. Joni is immersed in transformative work around the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals – the planet’s 17-item To-Do list for creating a world where all can thrive. She will highlight how important happiness is for realizing the UN’s goals, something that, we expect, you’ll be able to resonate with easily.
Can we create a world where everyone thrives? How do we go about creating the future we want? What actions can we take here in our community to realize a better future for all? All are welcome – bring your voice and your ideas. Let’s talk!
We also encourage you to help us make these potlucks waste-free. Be part of our new tradition of BYOE events – please bring your own plates, cups, utensils, napkin for the meal, as well as a dish to share and your favorite beverage. Beer and wine are acceptable. The event is free, but we appreciate donations to help us cover the costs.
Remember to keep your 3rd Mondays open for these monthly potlucks. We look forward to seeing you! For more information, contact us as [email protected], check out the event on our calendar, or see our Facebook event page.
