Solarize Media

May 2, 2024 by

The two-year Solarize Greater Media initiative (2015-2016) was summarized in this wrap-up report.  We held 10 informational events and did extensive marketing, with eventually over 300 people on our mailing list who were interested in getting a proposal for solar panels on their homes. Out of these, 50 families took the plunge and signed contracts for residential solar installation representing over 350kW of new solar energy in the Greater Media area. Besides these homeowners, we began conversations with Swarthmore College and with a local church.  Our work has helped create a more solar-friendly community that continues to grow, catalyzing the Solarize Philly and Solarize Delco initiatives.
