It’s Day Two of Happiness Week in Media! Transition Town Media invites you to join us and many other area organizations in celebrating the things that make us happy – art, music, nature, our health, our families, our community and its great spirit of fun!
Here’s what happening today. For a listing of the entire week’s activities, April 22-27, see the events list on our website or download our Happiness Week brochure.

Join us for a public dialog on our Common Happiness with James Quilligan and Dr. Joni Carley, experts on cultural development who will be talking about why happiness isn’t just fluffy stuff and how prioritizing happiness and wellbeing matters economically, politically and socially. We invite you to take part in this discussion which may stretch what you think about our priorities in life and society.

The Media Borough Recreation Board will hold a Senior Aerobics Class in the Community Center, 4th & Jackson St, Media 19063, 10:30-11:30 am.
Three restaurants in Media, Picasso’s, 36 State St, La Belle Epoque, 38 W State St, and Diego’s, 214 W State St, will be having Happiness Specials, 4-6 pm.
Suggestions for the day? Practice random acts of kindness – feed someone’s parking meter, take a homeless person to lunch, smile and say hello to everyone you pass on the street, stop in and visit an elderly person who might be lonely, take a moment to appreciate how being a community can make us happy.
Stay tuned for more great events tomorrow through Sunday!
