It’s Day Four of Happiness Week in Media! Transition Town Media invites you to join us and many other area organizations in celebrating the things that make us happy – art, music, nature, our health, our families, our community and its great spirit of fun!

Friday, April 25th – Hit the Streets!
Media will be jumping at 6 pm this evening! When the trolley pulls out, State Street will rock out! Meet at Plum Street Mall, Media PA 19063. Sponsored by the Springfield Healthplex.
Grab a bite at one of the great Media eating establishments, and stroll over to the Borough Building Parlor Room for Michael Reddy’s “Healing Families and Organizations in Transition” workshop, 301 N Jackson St, 7-9:30 pm. Michael is a healer, a certified professional coach, and has a background in medical and cognitive science research. Tonight’s session will explore how unhealed traumas may be the cause of most chronic illness and emotional disturbance and will describe two simple healing techniques that can clear trauma.
Today’s specials: Media businesses will have sidewalk sales along State Street. Deja Vu Salon will treat its customers to a mini-margarita. Our local libraries are sponsoring “Poem-in-your-Pocket” – recite a poem at select locations and get a special treat or discount.
The Media Borough Recreation Board will hold a Gentle Yoga Class, 10-11 am, in Parlor Room of the Borough Building, 301 N Jackson St, Media 19063.
Tyler Arboretum, 515 Painter Rd, Media PA 19063, will be hosting a Rhododendron Stroll, 10-11:30 am, and a Beer Stein Making Workshop with Bob Deane and Drew Arata, from 6-9 pm.
The Surrey Senior Center will have an inter-generational Sidewalk Chalk Walk party from 1-4 pm at the Media Fellowship House, 302 S Jackson St, Media 19063.
Fred Shamlian of Shamlian Advertising invites you to “Beam your Dream” in Plum Street Mall, Media 19063 between 5-8 pm, in conjunction with Denise Yocco of 7 Stones Gallery and Café. Denise and Nick Yocco have created a Peace Pole from a large branch fallen from an ancient oak at Pendle Hill, Wallingford, into which you can place your dreams for peace in the world.
The Media Borough Recreation Board will hold a Hoopnotica (hula hoop dancing) Class, 6-8 pm, in the Media Community Center, 4th & Jackson Sts, Media 19063.
Suggestions for the day? Take care of yourself – start a fun exercise routine, take a yoga or meditation class, read a book, get a massage, call up a friend you haven’t talked to in a while, go out jogging or walking with a neighbor, take a moment to appreciate your mental and physical health.
