An Initiative or Working Group forms when Transition members share a passionate commitment for a particular topic related to creating a resilient community. Working groups research a specific need of the community and propose a creative local response. Initiatives are specific projects that may be short-term in duration.

Transition Town Greater Media has declared a climate emergency and is actively working to address the causes and solutions to mitigating and adapting to the climate crisis. These are the current and past initiatives that we’ve taken.

Partnerships
Partnerships are projects or events that we work on in collaboration with another organization, such as the Media Environmental Advisory Council, or the Media Upper Providence Free Library.

Annual Events are public events that we put on every year.
