Green Sunday Holiday Craft Fair 2024

Transition Town Greater Media is hosting the Green Sunday Holiday Local, Small Business, Handmade Craft Fair again this year on Sunday, Nov 17th, 1–5PM! It’s part of our vision of a community that celebrates local talent creating handmade goods. It’s both a response and an alternative to the commercialism of Black Friday & Cyber Monday.

Green Sunday features over 50 juried vendors, unique handmade gifts, raffle baskets with handmade items from the vendors, a craft station for the kids, scrumptious food and refreshing beverages, and a fun, frenzy-free shopping experience! Everyone is welcome, so bring your friends and family—there’s plenty of fun for them all!

Admission is free, and so is parking. We have reserved the lot at 4th and Olive St, right next to the gym entrance, for your parking convenience.

Applications are due by Fri, Oct 18th. The vendor acceptance process is juried and is based on the category and quality of the items. Applicants will be considered and notified on a rolling basis.

We thank the Media Providence Friends School (MPFS) and Media Friends Meeting (MFM) for donating the use of their gym every year for this Holiday Fair. MPFS offers K-12 education based on Quaker values, teaching students about their responsibility as citizens of the world and stewards of the earth. MFM is also a leader for environmental responsibility in the community. They first installed solar panels on the meetinghouse more than 10 years ago and has expanded them three times since then. They also have three medicinal raised bed gardens that are harvested, with the help of MPFS Middle Schoolers, for Singularity Botanicals, who provides tinctures and teas to alleviate the health impacts of industrial pollution in affected communities.
