Shannon Hayes in Media, PA!

February 7, 2012 by Marion Leave a Comment

We were so very  fortunate to have Shannon Hayes make a whistle stop in Media on her way to the PASA Conference last week.  An  audience of at least 100 people sat in rapt attention as Shannon shared her experiences of choosing the “radical homemaking”  approach to living and her current research on homemaking as an ecological movement.

How could we not love someone who is a fabulous speaker and begins a talk by telling us how impressed she is with everything that’s going on in Media & what a great community we have here!

Shannon is a nationally known author, farmer, radical homemaker and blogger.  She and her family raise grassfed meat on their farm in upstate New York. Shannon is a living example of how becoming producers rather than just consumers can enrich our lives and our families, strengthen our communities, and improve our economic sustainability.

Check out her web site grassfedcooking.com.  Read her blogs at Yes! magazine  and Shannon Hayes
