2014 Gratitude Celebration A Big Success!

November 17, 2014 by Sari Leave a Comment

In case you missed it, the Media Community Center was transformed, once again, into a magical space on Saturday, Nov. 15th. Transition Town Media hosted our 3rd Annual Candlelight Gratitude Celebration and Potluck Banquet that evening and the room was aglow with tiny lights and awash with happy people.

The purpose of the evening was to express our community’s gratitude for the wonderful non-profit organizations in our area. We had 22 organizations join us and a little over 100 people heard about their missions, their programs, and how the community could support them. Organization representatives were also able to network with and learn about each other, as they rarely get a chance to come together and socialize.

We would like to thank the 15 local shops and restaurants who generously contributed to our sumptuous banquet. Candles in lovely jars were donated by Deals, beer was donated by Iron Hill Brewery, and fabulous food platters were contributed by 320 Market, 7 Stones Cafe, Acme, Berry Fresh Cafe, Desert Rose, DiFabio’s Catering, Edible Arrangements, Lotus Farm to Table, Mrs. Marty’s Deli, On a Roll, Spasso, Trader Joe’s, and Yangtze Inn.

Please see our program booklet to see short write-ups of most of the groups represented at the celebration, as well as logos of our generous contributors. Hope we’ll see you all next year at our 4th Annual Gratitude Banquet!
