You know you want to. You’ve thought about it every winter and maybe every summer too. Maybe if you tightened things up around the house you could save money on those heating and cooling bills. Be more comfortable for less cost. Well, for some reason it just didn’t happen. Again. But never fear! TTM is coming to the rescue. We’re going to make it really easy and inexpensive to finally get it done. All in one fun evening!
Tuesday, Sept. 29th, 6pm at the Media Community Center is your chance to see and try out simple, do-it-yourself ways to save energy and make your home more efficient and more comfortable. We’ll have experts in the field available to talk about what you can do yourself, with samples of the materials you may need so you know what to buy. You could also sign up for a discounted energy assessment and let the pros do the work.
We’ll start at 6pm with a potluck dinner. Please bring a dish to share if you can. The program will start at 7 with a quick energy quiz. You may learn a new fun fact! Then you and your tablemates will put your heads together to come up with the best energy-saving idea you can think up. Between your savvy friends and neighbors, TTM’s own energy geeks, and our brilliant colleagues at AFewSteps.org, you’ll have an entertaining and very informative evening. After the fun and games, check out the sample weatherizing materials we brought to show you what you might need and how to use them. Representatives from PECO’s Smart House Call will also be on hand with information about energy assessments.
