Join us for a ‘short & sweet’ family-friendly event and learn everything you always wanted to know about Recycling. The event will start at noon with a short talk with lots of audience interaction – bring all your questions about those hard-to-recycle items. Bring the kids – they’ll love playing the Recycling Game! After the ‘short’, there will be the ‘sweet’ – with Potluck Ice Cream Sundaes! Please bring your favorite topping to share. The event will be at the Media Community Center, 301 N. Jackson St., Media, PA, on Sunday, August 4th from 12-2 pm.
The talk is being given by Resa Thomason, a master-certified expert on Recycling from Portland OR. You are encouraged to bring any non-hazardous items to the event that you don’t know how to recycle. Resa will also provide details on hazardous waste recycling and the local events for this. Another popular topic that will be addressed is how to make your own non-toxic household cleaners.
